The easiest way to add a YouTube video to a post

To embed a YouTube video into a post, you COULD go to youtube.com, find the video you want, copy the embed code to your clipboard, go back to the blog post you’re composing, click HTML, scroll down to where you want the video to be, paste the video embed code, click View, carry on writing your post, and publish.

OR you could use a plugin to make it all super easy.

The easiest YouTube plugin to use is called EasyTube.

With EasyTube al you need to do is paste the YouTube video URL directly into your post in the following format: [youtube:URL]

So for example: [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqioNLt1AhM]

And you just put this right in the main edit area of your post, not under the HTML tab.

And that’s it! :)

To install the plugin: If you go in your admin panel and go to the Plugin Central page you can paste the following link in the box and install the plugin without an ftp program: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/easytube.zip
