How to edit or delete the About This Author box on post pages

Built into your blog are some pretty clever features.

One of these features is the ‘About This Author’ box above all your blog posts.

If you look at the homepage of your blog and click on the title of one of your latest blog posts you will see the ‘About This Author’ box I’m referring to.

It’s a pretty cool feature because you are getting your name in front of your readers and branding yourself as the expert.

Deleting the box altogether is as easy as editing what is in the box. Here are your instructions:

1. Login to your blog

2. Hover over ‘Users’ (top right)

3. Click ‘Your Profile’

4. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see a box with your bio in.

5. To edit what the box says, just edit the words in the box. What you put in that box will show on your site (sometimes takes a minute or two).

6. To delete the box altogether just delete everything from the bio box. If there is nothing in the box, then the box doesn’t show!

So whatever is in your bio box on your wordpress profile page will get pulled into the About This Author box. And if there is nothing in the bio box, the About This Author section will vanish altoigether.
